My son LOVES to draw and I looked at MANY drawing books until deciding on this one. Unlike most of the other books I found this is really aimed at boys (no horses or kittens here). The pictures are not too grown-up but are tough enough to appeal to boys and the steps are easy to follow. My son often takes it to school to draw during free time and his friends all love it too. It's great for the elementary age group because it's not overly complex yet the pictures are cool. We have other drawing books but this is his favorite by far and the most used.

I bought this for my 7-year old grandson, as he loves to draw and he thinks it's WONDERFUL. It's been instrumental in helping him to construct drawings from the bones/frame.
