{PRETITLE} The Houses of VERANDA {POSTTITLE}

This was a disappointment, as my expectations had been to engross myself and revel in the gorgeous colors that the Veranda publications is famous for. Things are on the bland and dated side, mildly boring, and in general, just not exciting enough. Can't truly recommend this.

I have loved my subscription to Veranda and buy a lot from Wisteria as well (her son). The book is worth getting if your an interior design book lover like me. While the rooms are tasteful and well done, the monochromatic look is repeated page after page. While all design books show the designers strengths and preferences, I thought this one would be less so as it is a compilation of published homes / spaces. So - okay, I've got it - this is what she thinks a room should consistently look like no matter where it is in the world, or who the occupants are.
