I just started reading Michele Celentano's book "Photographing Families". This book is excellent and is tough to put down! I am an amateur photographer with several years of experience. I thought I was fairly knowledgeable about photographing people. The more I get into this book the more I am coming to realize that there is so much more to photographing people/families than I originally thought! Michele's way of writing and explaining things makes perfect sense in a concise and easy to understand language that I appreciate. I have seen her speak at a Professional Photographer's convention in the past-very high energy, informative and motivating speaker in person. That "in person" personality has been transformed into the written word in this book! I'm very happy with my purchase and HIGHLY recommend it to any photographer wanting to improve their skills. I can't wait to see her at WPPI this year and plan on purchasing her DVD that she has too.

I'm so excited that I finally have this book! I'm a mom of two young children and I love to photograph my family and my friend's children. My husband and friends have been encouraging me to turn this love into a career, but it's been hard to feel like I would be able to. I've been to a few seminars, but I can already tell that the examples and information in Michele's book are going to be unbelievably helpful. Everything is very easy to understand and I love how she has photographs to help illustrate what she is explaining - I'm sure my copy will be become very "loved" very quickly! Michele, your work is so beautiful - you give me something to work toward.
