I've had a beautiful ukulele gathering dust in my home for several years. I decided to try this book out before calling it quits on several unsuccessful attempts to myself. One week of this book has been far more encouraging and helpful than the months I spent online trying to teach myself! I highly recommend How to Play Ukulele: A Complete Guide for Absolute Beginners! The progress I've made through the teaching of this book, has reinvigorated my interest in the instrument.

I just purchased this book and am very happy with it! I am a TOTAL beginner and am encouraged to know that I may become a novice soon with the help of this book. All of the instructions are very easy to understand - I am not overwhelmed or discouraged, which can sometimes happen when trying to learn a new instrument. The book pulls off something that is difficult for beginner's manuals to do - the instructions are easy, AND the book is incredibly comprehensive. It covers almost all aspects of Ukele playing that you might want to know about, and delivers those aspects in a simple and encouraging manner. I highly recommend it.
