This inspiring sketchbook is part of the new 20 Ways series from Quarry Books, designed to offer artists, designers, and doodlers a fun and sophisticated collection of illustration fun. Each spread features 20 inspiring illustrated examples of 45 themes–tulips, roses, dahlias, and much, much more–over 900 drawings, with blank space for you to draw your take on 20 Ways to Draw a Tulip.
This is not a step-by-step technique book--rather, the stylized flowers, snap dragons, and zinnias, are simplified, modernized, and reduced to the most basic elements, showing you how simple abstract shapes and forms meld to create the building blocks of any item that you want to draw. Each of the 20 interpretations provides a different, interesting approach to drawing a single item, providing loads of inspiration for your own drawing. Presented in the author’s uniquely creative style, this engaging and motivational practice book provides a new take on the world of sketching, doodling, and designing.

{PRETITLE} 20 Ways to Draw a Tulip and 44 Other Fabulous Flowers: A Sketchbook for Artists, Designers, and Doodlers {POSTTITLE}

MinsFor those unfamiliar with the "20 Ways to Draw a..." Series, what the books are are basically doodles and sketches of various objects (this one is focused on flowers). There's no text, NO written information, no instruction, no step-by-steps, just pages and pages of different sketches and doodles of all sorts of flowers. And they are easy to mimic, and also a great start for doing your own sketches of similar things with personalization.By Chel Micheline
"20 Ways to Draw a Tulip" is not an instruction book, but more of a resource book. For me it's a jumping off point for other sketches, but it also is great to just flip through and get different ideas for how things can be represented.
Love this book and I reach for it often!

Not just tulips, but 44 other flowers too. This is a great book for experts or beginners. I really was surprised just how much was included.By Emily B. Babcock
